OBJECTIVE
GDMO was planning to relocate their office from Trade Center to a new and larger space in One Central Dubai. Their move in January 2020 required a significant technology upgrade of current technologies. We would work closely with the in-house team at GDMO to design a highly technical office including event spaces and open plan offices as well as board room and meeting rooms. There was also a specific requirement to design and build a 24 rack data centre on the premises. iWe were contracted to design and build the entire technology scope including ICT, Audio Visual as well as access control and CCTV.
SOLUTION
We were involved early on to coordinate the requirements with the design team as well as the in-house IT experts to ensure we proposed a solution that would both be aesthetically pleasing, but equally important, fulfilling the clients requirements to operate in a modern office with both indoor and outdoor event spaces for His Highness media office. Meeting room management system was extended to include additional rooms, data centre was built to include Panduit Wyr© Grid installation and complete CAT6A cable installation.
A complete reception featuring large video wall, boardroom and even a Ted Talk environment was created to ensure focus is on an inviting, friendly environment.
About the Client
The Government of Dubai Media Office (GDMO) is the official body responsible for the government's strategic communication, media relations, and the dissemination of news. It implements communication plans, manages media relationships both locally and internationally, and handles the media affairs for the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
