OBJECTIVE

Luxottica is a leader in the design, manufacture and distribution of fashion, luxury and sports eyewear. Its portfolio includes proprietary brands such as Ray-Ban, Oakley, Vogue Eyewear, Persol, Oliver Peoples and Alain Mikli, as well as licensed brands including Giorgio Armani, Burberry, Bulgari, Chanel, Coach, Dolce & Gabbana, Ferrari, Michael Kors, Prada, Ralph Lauren, Tiffany & Co., Valentino and Versace.

We were contracted to plan the office movement sighting the expansion in the number of Employees to a new office Space that was double the size. In this critical business decision, IT-Serve developed a relocation project schedule, including packing, unpacking, installation and coordination. The priority was to make it operational as soon as possible after the move that included User machines, Active components including ICT. IT-Serve respected the instructions provided by Luxottica to complete the Onsite Infrastructure upto a point where their Internal IT could do the configuration to maintain and adhere to the IT compliance.

SOLUTION

We worked closely with the head of IT Italy and drew on the extensive in-house IT experts in IT-Serve to ensure we proposed a solution that would operational immediately with safest measures of moving IT peripherals. The operational uptime was an essential demand as the staff number increased from 40 to 70 from an office of 400 sqm to 1400 sqm in DAFZA. A turnkey part was planning the movement during off peaks hours and weekend to ensure least disruption to Operations, including ISP Cabling, PC’s and Server Installation. All phases of movement were planned acutely and well-coordinated with different service partners of Luxottica.

As part of the delivery IT-Serve is also supplying outsourced IT Support personnel at a permanent level.
